Mirrors and Shadows

4 years ago I read a bookby Terry Goodkind called "Wizard´s first rule" from the Sword of Truth Series. In this book he speaks about the first rule of the wizard (obviously), the thing is. that it semed SO right, what he said about it was so to the point and so true, and the best thing is that it´s real it´s not just true in the book, but really true in life, in anybodys life. It goes like this:

Wizard´s first rule:

"People believe in what they believe in because they are afraid of it, or because they want it to be true"

Did you read it? did you analize it? do you get it? read it again...

Just think about it and you´ll see that it happens everyday everywhere. ok, ok, so you don´t do it... *CoughBSCough*.... but other ppl do, Right? so you can see that it does happen everyday, everywhere.

We all go through our days with our fear and all that, so we´re always subject to how our fears change the information that where receiving, we´ll let´s not say "change" but let´s leave it at "modify". Our fears modify the information that we get everyday, depending on the fear we have and how big this fear is. Or our emotions will make this information change also ´cause we are humans and ´cause of the way that our brain works. -at least the way i think it works- by association, so you´re feeling VERY happy and you are looking at a picture, so everytime you look at that picture you feel happy. and you have no idea why you feel happy when you look at that particular picture, or the other way around, you are feeling SO miserable and someone is talking to you about a movie or whatever, (a movie that you have not seen) so you start "hating" that movie and you´re convinced that it´s the wort movie ever. or any other thing you associate with that miserable feeling.

Anyway, mirrors and shadows is just that, believing in something ´cause you want it to be real. modifying every bit of information that comes into your mind to convince yourself that what you think is the way it goes. Just ´cause you want it to be like that. But let´s face it, seldomly do things go the way we want it, so...

ok, so I´ll ask you this... do you have the capacity to look at yourself from another persons point of view? ok, ok. most of you answered yes here. ok ok.... so now, did you just answer yes ´cause you want to believe that you actually can? or do you really believe that you can?... so can you?

Can you look at yourself from another persons point of view?

CheerS!

this is the kind of thing that makes me feel like I want to be totally normal and not think about it. EVER AGAIN!

The person I am right now, at 30 years old, is differente to the one I was 10 years ago, and I'm pretty sure I'll be (in some way0 different when I'm 40. I guess it's like a tree, which is always the same tree, but every year its different, the same, but different.
